Lets see here. I've got myself a Computer, upstairs, with my router,
downstairs.

I'm using windows zero configuration.

Lets start from the start. Whenever I turn on my computer, it connects to my
wireless but says its uhh.. Low connectivity I beleive, the yellow little
triangle beside the wireless icon. Anyways, that means right off the start I
always have to disconnect and reconnect. And than I have proper connectivity.
Why is it that it says I have low connectivity?

Also, sometimes my wireless says i have a great connection, 54 mbps, and it
will randomly drop down to 11 mbps or worse. Its never very stable, and
really random. Usually when it hits 11 mbps my msn starts disconnecting and
such.

Usualy when it does that, I can disconnect and re-connect, sometimes it will
go back to being good connection for a good amount of time, but sometimes it
will say its good connection than drop back down in a minute or so.

Also, sometimes when I try to connect it just, wont connect at all. It keeps
going and going but never even "aquires network adress" I beleive it is, but
if i just keep trying eventually it works after a long while.

It does this at any time of day, which means even at 3 am when no one is
awake its doing it, so i dont know about any static interferance. It happens
wether or not my father is on the wired computer downstairs. And has been
happning since I built this computer and put the wireless adapater in. Though
I think its gotten worse. Ive done a few virusscans recently, and im virus
free.

On my old computer, with the same wireless adapater i would sometimes have
connection issues like these, nothing as severe, and especially when I was
using my Wii, so I called into my router service provider(Bell) and we
switched the channel on my router, and that seemed to GREATLY improve my
problem. but now thats faded away again.

Jack (MVP-Networking).
Hi
What you experience is usually a result of environmental noise. I.e other
people using Wireless at the same channels.
Keep changing the Router's channel until you find the best one for your
system (typically 1, or 11 are good solutions).
