find out the mac addrees of an access point

hello wlan gurus

is the a possibility on a windows xp/vista box to determine the mac
address of the access point to which the client is connected to ? any
native windows commands or any tools ?

It depends on how the Access Point is configured on its Network.
Try this 3rd party free tool,

In a terminal, ping the broadcast address then use arp -a.
