Printing helpedition, and a Linksys router. I managed to get everything working properly...until I brought a new printer into the mix. The printer is an HP Deskjet 6980. When I introduced the printer, everything quit working. A friend came over and straightened things out for me, and everything worked find for months. Now my laptop will not print wirelessly, and my desktop will only print what's in the spooler after I reboot. The printer is connected to my desktop via ethernet cable that goes through the router. When I try and print something I get the following box: "The print spooler was unable to connect to your printer. This can be caused by your printer being turned off, the cable being unplugged, or being connected to a VPN, which will block your access to your local network. Your document will print when the printer becomes available." The printer is on and the plugs are all connected. Yet it only prints upon rebooting. When I try and send something to the printer after that, I get the above message and have to reboot again if I want it to actually print. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much, Chris On Sun, 25 Nov 2007 11:26:10 -0800 (PST), stat1***@aol.com wrote:

The two printers are a connected to the desktops and are also accessible by both the laptops via the network. |
