DELL Latitude D620 2 MBRAM 1.87 GHz. proc IE7XPPro

Why am I always being told that I'm working offline in IE7 when I'm not?
It's keeping me from getting to any webpages because I'm always being asked
to first connect...meanwhile, everything else that could only work perfectly
IF I were connected to the Net IS working just fine!?

I've recently been getting messages like "Webpage unavailable while
offline," which I'm not (connected wirelessly with Intel 3945 PRO internal),
and when I press "Connect" to get rid of the message, I'm presented with a
Dialup dialog which tries to dial through my Conexant modem, which I
needless to say never use!

I've tried to solve this by deleting the WAN mini-port icon in Control Panel
and disabling the modem, but the messages continue to appear, rendering my
IE7 useless because I can't connect without the messages appearing...

BTW, this message problem does not appear to be happening in Mozilla
Firefox...

Can someone please help? I think this started to happen when I was bumbling
along with Wi Fi a couple of weeks ago.

What's up with this "You are working offline" message I'm getting in IE??
How can I get it back to working properly??  THANK YOIU!

THANKS!!

Hi
Since it is working after you dismiss the IE& related message it seems to be
an IE& issue and Not Wireless.
Take a look at the browser options the connection tab and make sure that the
entry Never Dial Up a Connection is checked.
Otherwise head up to the IE forum they would have better ideas.
