Re: IP Address conflictI've decided to give up and hire someone to come in and install a network,
probably with a dedicated server. Thank you for your attempts to help, though. Charles Kenyon I have been following this thread with interest because I have a
similar problem - two wireless computers that have some sort of IP conflict. They are both set to get IPs automatically - and I assumed that the router (a Belkin) would be smart enough to use different one. The odd thing is that when I plug one of the computers into the router with a wire, there is no conflict - only when I try to use both wirelessly. Any suggestions on where to look for the problem? Thanks. Steve G. SteveG wrote:

Start - Run - "cmd" - Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command window. Open Notepad, make sure that Format - Word Wrap is NOT checked!, open file c:\ipconfig.txt, copy and paste entire contents into your next post. -- Danny Kile Please reply to the Newsgroup ONLY "Dogs come when they're called, CATS take a message and get back to you." Mary Bly Let me also ask the same question. I often get the IP Address Conflict. I
have one wireless (11.b router) and one wired computer. I looked into the details of the message (under computer:manage:...) and see a physical address that doesn't match either system. Here is all the stuff from the wired ipconfig command.
