I've decided to give up and hire someone to come in and install a network,
probably with a dedicated server. Thank you for your attempts to help,
though.

I have been following this thread with interest because I have a
similar problem - two wireless computers that have some sort of IP
conflict.  They are both set to get IPs automatically - and I assumed
that the router (a Belkin) would be smart enough to use different one.
The odd thing is that when I plug one of the computers into the router
with a wire, there is no conflict - only when I try to use both
wirelessly.

Any suggestions on where to look for the problem?

Thanks.

You may try to post your ipconfig info.

Please provide ipconfig information for each computer, so we can
diagnose your problems.

Start - Run - "cmd" - Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the
command window. Open Notepad, make sure that Format - Word Wrap is NOT
checked!, open file c:\ipconfig.txt, copy and paste entire contents into
your next post.

Let me also ask the same question.  I often get the IP Address Conflict.  I
have one wireless (11.b router) and one wired computer.  I looked into the
details of the message (under computer:manage:...) and see a physical address
that doesn't match either system.  Here is all the stuff from the wired
ipconfig command.  Thanks in advance
