Home network not working(1) I connected 2 pentium 4 one with windows xp prof. and otherxp home with d
link router which is itself connected to dsl cable modem. untill yesterday both were connecting to internet, but now non is connecting although when I connected one computer directly to dsl cable modem, internet started working. when connecting thru router one computer says 'no or limited connectivity' other computer's browser says ' page can't be dsiplayed. when I check the status of connection. there is some figure in packets sent but its a zero under recieved packets. Do I need to run router cd on both of computers? (2) How to make a program not to run when windows start? The startup folder is empty. thanks a lot for any help. I would check the connection and make sure you can ping the router. If not, please post the result of ipconfig /all.

Use Autoruns from SysInternals (Microsoft), to find the problem. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/essential-tools-for-desktop-and.html#Autoruns> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/essential-tools-for-desktop-and.html#Autoruns -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
