Windows XP SR2.  One of our remote systems is having trouble getting a VPN
connection to our network up and running.  I have set up the VPN identical to
other remote systems.  All other systems connect, but this one does not.  The
nonworking system is using a Verizon DSL.  I can ping (the hardware firewall
to which we connect) from this nonworking system, but cannot connect the VPN.
What might be causing this problem.  Thanks for any help.  God bless.

What's the VPN error code? Can you telnet port 1723?

Usually the VPN connection goes through three stages, (1) connecting, (2)
verfying username/password, and (3) connecting to the network.  I never get
past step 1 and it times out.
