Getting rid of a home networkHere is my situation,
I was trying to find a way to share my iTunes music with the other users of my computer. I had tried changing the iTunes music folder to a public folder, but it didn't work. So I tried to create a home network and share my music across a network. I went through the network setup wizard, created a workgroup, and everything. Well, it didn't work, so I want to completely get rid of the network that I just created. Workgroup and everything. There doesn't seem to be an option for that though. I took sharing off of my LAN connection and shared folders, but that doesn't really do anything. Help would be much appreciated! Hi
Just take it easy if you took Off the Sharing, and you are Not connected to other computers, it does not do any thing and it would go away. Jack (MVP-Networking). The Network Setup Wizard didn't create a workgroup, and it didn't create a network -- it just configured their properties. Your computer has a network connection, so it was already a member of a workgroup and a network before you ran the Wizard. It isn't possible (or necessary) to remove the workgroup or the network. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
