Profile problem

I built a network with Server 2003 with 4 XP clients. Roaming profile
and folder redirection.
Adding a new user is done by copying a usertemplate. Done this 4
times.

All users want to use a detailed layout in windows explorer. Usually
you can do this via options in explorer. They
still can and applied this to all maps. Closing explorer and reopen it
will only show the last visited map in detailed.

4 Users are added but only at one user the changed explorer layout
will be saved for the next time. All others have
to change to detailed everytime they start up explorer. Logged out in
between doesn't solve it.

Note. The 4 client pc's were earlier used and connected via a hub
before they were added to this new domain.

So only one user has no problem. 3 others do.

Hard to say, but for such a small network I would suggest using a simpler
topology. The maintenance-overhead of using the "Full Monty" Roaming Profile
Domain is much the same whether for two users or two thousand -and for small
sites it's a massive overkill.

On a large site you would expect to burn the midnight-oil solving issues
like this, but then the returns are worthwhile in terms of usercount. For
four users, they are not.
