Hi There,

I have 2 XP Pro SP2 pc's internet sharing through a isdn modem. Whats
happening is the internet dialup kicks off every few minutes.

I have put both PC's IP and Computer Name in the host file

Any suggestions

ICS basically acts as a Dial-on-DNS router. This means it will be very
trigger-happy with dialup accounts, because any app or service that initiates
a name-enquiry which can't be resolved locally will cause dialling.  The WINS
service is a favorite for this. Even networked printers can be responsible!

I would suggest using a proxy for internet-sharing on a dialup line. Trying
to control false-dialling on router-based systems is not easy. Analogx proxy
is one of the simplest. Jana Server has more functionality though.
