Dear everyone, not sure if I'm in the right thread here...but maybe you can
help me out or point me to the right direction. Or the right thread (=

Let me first say the VPN server does function correctly. We have clients
that connect to it, and access it, all day long. This is a single, xp pro
laptop, that is having issues.

1. The VPN connects successfully.
2. The VPN server replies to ping request.
3. I can pull the IP address of the VPN server in a browser, and see the
website hosted on that machine
4. When I try the "net use" command, with ip address, i get error 53.
5. When I try "net view" command, with ip address, I get "workstation
service is not started" (same happens with net view vpnserverhostname)
6. When I attempt to "net start workstation" it says Invalid Service Name
7. Windows firewall is off - so to the best of my knowledge no ports are
being blocked.
8. I have uninstalled the anti-virus security software.

Any ideas where to go next?

Thanks a bunch!
