I am continuously getting this message when using the internet.  on my
homepage, on google, etc.  Sometimes it will show the webpage but normally
this message pops up.  i am able to go on my roommate's computer and view
them easily and we are hooked up to the same internet.  i made sure our
internet settings were the same and it still pops up and i know when it is
going to pop up because it takes longer to download the page. i have been
through all the steps in troubleshooting and nothing has helped.  please help
me!

And also for malwares from here:

http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D
Then try to Disable the Add-Ons on your Browser somehow your browser been
hooked by Add-ons or Plug-ins, on how to disable the Add-ons follow this:
Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Networking and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
click on Programs Tab and then click the Manage Add-Ons Button there Disable
the None/Not Verified Plug-ins/Add-ons (You can Renable them one-by -one
later and see which one will be the culprit and uninstall it or Update the
Add-Ons if it is Legitimate Add-Ons not a spyware plug-ins).

Click On Advanced tab and scroll down under this Option and uncheck this Box:
[&] Browsing
[  ] Enable third-party browser extensions (Req Rest)

Then click [OK] to confirm your Changes and Reboot your machine and see if
the Error goes away or ON.

If still try this open a Run command and type in:
ipconfig /flushdns  click [OK]
ipconfig /renew     click [OK]
netsh winsock reset  click [OK]
Reboot you machine and try to establish connection.
