Netgear PA301 problemsthe phoneline with Netgear PA301 adapters in each computer. I've never had a problem. They are both setup to share the internet and data . Nothing works now except host computer can still access internet. When I turn on my computer I get the following message." Your network adapter Broadcom 10 (tm) (0001) is not working properly. You may need to set it up again." Netgear PA301 is no longer listed under device manager but Broadcom iline 10 (tm) is with a yellow "flag". Also, under other devices is listed PCI Ethernet Controller with a yellow flag and question mark. I haven't a clue what this is all about or what to do about it. I know I have never installed a Broadcom adapter. I would like to remove these items but I'm concerned that I may lose my internet conn. by messing around with PCI controller. Any help would be appreciated Hi
I assume that you getting the Internet trough a Dialup modem, or you have Broadband Internet coming to your computer through a regular Network card or USB. The Phoneline PA301 card is probably a secondary card in order to connect to the second computer. If my assumptions are correct you should not worry about the Internet connection. Delete the Ghost ( http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost ) from the device manger reboot the computer and reinstall the drivers for the PA301. If it is not working the PA301 might be "Done" and need something newer. In general http://www.ezlan.net/debug.html Otherwise please provide adequate description of you Internet and Network related setup. Jack (MVP-Networking).
