2 network icons showingRecently after uninstalling trend micro PC-cillin Internet security and then installing McAfee security center, I couldn't connect to the Internet, even though my network connection showed as enabled. I have 2 PC's on a wireless network. Mine is wired directly to my Linksys router. I opened the Linksys Advisor and it showed a problem with my connection and prompted me to click on FIX. It fixed the problem and I was able to connect to the internet, but now I show a second network monitor icon in my tray. If I open Network Connections and disable the new one which shows as "Network Gateway" I can't connect again. If I leave that one enabled and disable my original one which is "Local Area Connection I can't connect again". I did a search for this at the Linksys site and here before posting this and found nothing. Any help will be appreciated. Outside of that everything is working fine but It bothers me because I'm on the same network as before and I never showed 2 network icons before and it makes me wonder if it's a security problem also. If more info is needed let me know. THANKS! Schmitty In article <D780148B-FCA5-4A1F-96C6-AD5C3BBAB***@microsoft.com>,

Apparently the PC-cillin Internet Security program was blocking display of the Internet Gateway icon. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
