will the default gateway be changed by virus or heckers?I noticed the default gateway was 68.x.x.x.x before, but after my pc
was attacked by some virus, i couldnt connect to the internet and the default gateway changed into 70.x.x.x, later i called the network CS, they just asked me to unplug and plug again, shut down and start, then i can connect to the internet but the default gateway still 70.x.x.x, my concern is that will it be changed by the virus or heckers something like that? Thanks a lot! On 27 Feb 2007 18:28:40 -0800, joen***@gmail.com wrote:

It's vaguely possible that hackers or a virus changed your default gateway setting, but not so likely. Since you're connected now, I'd guess that wasn't the primary cause of your problem either. Since you don't trust us enough to provide the entire IP address (before or after) ("68.x.x.x" and "70.x.x.x" is pretty dang useless), I'm not sure how much information you expect to get here.
