Enabling Automatic Updates via group policyHi,
I want to enable Automatic updates to my entire 150 client PCs (win XP). I am planning to do this via the group policy settings (Computer configuration \ administrative Templates \Windows Update) in windows 2003 AD. My issue is that if I set the automatic updates to be downloaded and installed automatically to my client PCs, will it also restart the 2003 servers and the domain controller (which I used to setup GP) whenever the windows downloading is completed? If so, is there any way to deploy automatic windows update settings only to client PCs without effecting the windows 2003 servers and domain controllers in my network? I do not want my servers to have windows updates automatically. hi,
move servers on other OU create different GPO for each OU with diferrent settings - on servers and DC put autodownload and notify to install, that assume to autodownload and install manual. -- Show quoteHide quoteDragos CAMARA MCSA Windows 2003 server "GrimReaper" wrote: > Hi, > > I want to enable Automatic updates to my entire 150 client PCs (win > XP).
