We have 2 PCs connected to the internet via a router.

My PC is connecting fine, but hubby's PC has suddenly decided that ther is a
problem with Internet Explorer.

On the Control Panel, under Network Connections - Connection Manager it
details

MSN
Connection Manager
Unavailable - device missing, Firewalled

4255555555

I have tried changing the home page to something other than MSN, but it's
still doing the same thing

When I try to connect it comes up with :
Internet explorer has encountered a problem & needs to close & the gumph
about sending error report - which does nothing in particular.

In the report it says
Error signature
EventType : InPageError P1 : c000009c P2 : 00000003

Can anyone help please - I am not a techy & hubby has asked me to try & fix
it!!!!

What type of Internet connection does your hubby's PC use?
"Unavailable - device missing, Firewalled" seem to tell "us" that
there is a device problem on the PC which does not allow it to access
the Internet (any pages.)
