Internet Explorer Connections Tab hangsWin XP-Pro SP2 in brand new HP DX2450 PC.
Office 2007 SB installed. AV and Firewall all up to date and functioning, no virus found. I had this problem a week ago on one machine, IE6 would not work - yet Firefox was fine. Connections tab in IE6 just hangs when clicked un - same in [Control Panel] [Internet Options] [Connections] Downloaded and installed IE7 - exactly the same! Eventually I gave up and did a full factory default re-install - which is a PITA because it is about 4 hours to set evertyhing back up gain and transfer files & settings, email etc. Now today another identical machine has started with exactly the same symptoms. Any clues? It could be 3rd party software. For troubleshooting, start the computer with
