I have been trying to setup a parallel network between a Windows XP
machine and a computer running DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11 and have made
absolutly no progress does anyone out there have any idea on how to
make this work.

I don't think this would be easy. Depending on circumstances, a better
approach might be to put in LAN cards, and use Win3.1's networking capability
with a crossover LAN cable.  This uses IPX by default, although a TCP/IP
stack is available. Thus you could either add IPX to the XP machine's network
setttings, or else install the TCP/IP stack for Windows 3.1 You should then
be able to connect to a shared folder on the XP computer.
