Hi All

My appologies if this question has been asked a 1000 times already.

I have 2 Windows XP machines (both high spec desktops) and want to
create a network between the 2 of them and I don't want to use wireless
technology.

Can someone please tell me exactly what hardware I need to buy and is
there a difference between a hub\switch\router or are they basicaly the
same thing?

I am guessing that I need a hub of some sort and a couple of cables, if
anyone can recomend a good website I'd be very grateful.

Many Thanks

Do you just need to connect the two computers?  Any possibility of a third in
the future?  Any external connections involved on either?  Decide, then read my
