I cannot connect to the internet thru my cable modem. When i check the status
window of my local area connection the support tab is missing. Does this mean
i have a problem with my nic and if so what do i need to do next. tx,marc

I think this is a software problem, not a hardware problem with the
NIC.  A possible solution is to go to Device Manager, remove the NIC,
reboot, and let Windows XP re-install it.
