adding password disables network drivewhen i add a password to the "supervisor" acct it disables the networkd drive.
if i remove the password from the acct, then the network drive is accessbile. why does this occur and is there a way to fix it?? thx. Mike There is no builtin "supervisor" account [there is administrator] so we know
this is a created user account. It would appear you are using blank [no] account passwords. If you have a share with a user assigned, like supervisor, and you put a password on that local account, then try to access the share from a remote pc, you should be asked for name and password to the share. solution is put the same passwork on the supervisor account that exists on the remote machine. Accounts and passwords must match between pcs or have the guest account enabled for generic access.
