If so, go to Device Manager and uninstall the network adapter that the LAN connection uses. On reboot, XP Pro will reinstall the network adapter and create a new LAN connection. Run the Network Setup Wizard and select the right options for your network. To un-share a shared disk or folder, right-click it, click Sharing and Security, and click "Do not share this folder".
