DNS on clientI have my ip settings for dns to go to the internal dns server which is a
domain controller. Every now and then on my client xp machine when I try going to my internal web site through ie it will not load. If I ping the domain name of my web server it resolves to the public ip address and not the internal address. I have to refresh my ip settings to get my client pc to resove it to the internal ip address. Any sugesstions on why this is going on. It only happens on xp machines. Do you have your primary DNS entry pointing to your DC?
One bandaid solution is to edit your hosts file on each PC (assuming you only have a couple). gmckinley wrote: Show quoteHide quote > I have my ip settings for dns to go to the internal dns server which is a > domain controller.
