I have been having fun with my XP machine for  some time now. It
probably all went back to an unsucessful install of Zonelabs... Anyway
I lost network connections. I have now been able to connect to my LAN
by providing a static IP address but my machine won't pickup a DHCP
address. DHCP is working as my 2nd system is working fine.
I have tried various "fixes" netch int reset etc; I feel I am close to
cracking it now...any suggestions ?
here are my machine IP settings:

Ned,

The "169.254.43.216" indicates no connection to the network, or no DHCP service.

The message "An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket"
indicates LSP / Winsock corruption.  This will definitely cause network
connection problems.
