Setup a URL in XPHallo
I hope some on can help me i have installed the IIS part of windows XP and i setup a website on it and it works fine but to access it the other people in my company need to know the machine name for it. So what i would like to do is setup an easy URL for the people to use. Is this possible and if so how Any help would be great Regards Markus The easiest way I can think of right off the top of my head would be to put
an alias record in your company DNS server with a "friendly" name that points to your computer. Then users could access the web site using: http://friendlyname/ instead of: http://yourcomputername/ -- Show quoteHide quoteRichard G.
