I have a desktop and wireless laptop.  Both are connected to the internet
through a wireless router.  I want to be able to share the printer that is
connected to the desktop.  Can I do this, and how?

Thanks

Yes, generally the network setup wizard is all you need:

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-
us/hnw_setupw.mspx?mfr=true

You will also have to enable sharing on the printer:

I just got mine going today.  I have two computers working on XP Home
Edition.  In additon to running the wizard I had to do the following:

1.  Changed Node Type from Peer-Peer to Broadcast
2.  Uninstalled all protocols other than TCP/IP
3.  On Advanced TCP/IP settings WINS tab, changed Net BIOS from Default to
Enable(Don't know if this was necessary but did it anyway)
4.  On my Norton 2006 Anti Virus permitted ports 137-139

These steps were taken on both computers.

Disclaimer:  I am not an XP expert, far from it.  I picked up all this
information from this site.  This may not work from you because there are
other versions of XP that may not work the same way.
