How do I transfer files between 2 PCs using an Ethernet 'CrossoverI need to transfer files from one pc to the next. They both have network
(LAN) adapters, and I have a crossover cable. After plugging in the cable, what do I need to do to start sharing files between them? Please post any responses to: Boogieman_Nightm***@msn.com THANX, Show quoteHide quote :) Very few people are going to copy and paste an email address to respond to
you. If you have the crossover cable up, go into My Network Places. Select Set UP A Home or Small Office Network. Follow the instructions that keep poping up being sure to Select "other" most of the time. The one time you won't is when it says something about an Internet Connection. For that, just select This Computer Has No Internet Connection. Then you get to the part where it says Create Network Disk or something like that, which is the last step. Just select the last option which is something about not needing the disk and restart the computer Then repeat this process on the other computer. After that, you should start seeing the Shared Folders in Explorer or and possibly in My Network Places.
