I have a Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 notebook computer with a built in
wireless nic and and LAN connection.

While the notebook is connected via the LAN connection it never has any
problems. But, when I connect via the wireless nic then it will get knocked
off after an indeterminate amount of time.

I haven't completely determined but, think that it may be related to
inactivity. If I am not actively browsing the net and just looking at
something for a length of time it will get knocked off. If I restart the
computer everything is fine.

Any ideas as to what is happening to cause my wireless connection to get
dropped?

Thanking anyone in advance,
Sonny

Start with power management on the wireless adapter. Go to the Control Panel
System applet, Hardware, Device Manager. Expand the Network Devices and
find your wireless adapter. Double-click it to get its Properties. If there
is a Power Management tab, click on it. Uncheck the box that says "allow
Windows to turn off this device when not in use". Apply/OK out.
