Hi there -- are there any how-to manuals out there to help me out. I have a
desktop PC which is wired to a wireless router and a laptop connected
wirelessly. They both have internal ip addresses assigned by my router. How
do i network them together so i can monitor the users on the laptop and the
desktop. I already tried the "workgroup" set up but it's not what i'm looking
for, i would like to know which users are logged in (on either the pc or the
laptop) and send messages back and forth, etc. can anyone help me with this?
Both are running WinXP Pro.

Thanks for the reply. I have read through the site and i still have a couple
questions. I'm not looking for a way of "remotely" controlling the pc i have
at home using my laptop. What i'd like to do is that if i'm at the office
using our own dsl internet service there is if i need a file out of my pc at
home is to log on to my home network and grab the document i need without
disrupting anyone using my home system (i have 2 other roomates) i have found
that using remote desktop that it logs out the user and lets me log in to do
my thing, i don't want that. I just want something (preferrably wizard-driven
setup) that will let me log in, notify whoever is on the pc at home that i'm
loggin in but not interrupt them by logging them off and let me grab my
documents that i need. any ideas on how to accomplish this?
