Since I've figured out so far, that I will need to reinstall my explorer....
how do I go about with that? I do not want to uninstall and then find out
that I cannot easily reinstall it.
I tried the whole "registry keys" way and it confused me, I'm not sure what
to do.

so the registry is reset to 1. I'm still using the internet..... How do I
reinstall?

How did you come to that conclusion?

The article that you referenced below says nothing about uninstalling
anything.

Please see the article that you referenced.

Please see the article that you referenced, *all* the info is there.
And what do you mean by "I'm still using the Internet"? You don't need
a working web browser to "use" the 'net.

Molly,

Why not describe the problem, and see if there's a known solution?  Try and let
us help you, if you find a single Microsoft article to be less than satisfying.
