Wanted to start a network. Ran the wizard Draged music file into shared music
file, but now can't find the music on any computer. The file is there, and when i click on it all my music folders appear, but they are empty! I Right click on the shared music folder and clicked properties, which shows the GB size is right. So somewhere on my harddrive there is music but I Cannot locate it by search or any other means. Need help! I thinkwhat's happened here is that you've moved the music folder into the
'all users' profile. These 'shared folders' are confusing, because they actually refer to sharing between (part-time) users of the same computer, not network-sharing. If you have a scout-around within "C:\Documents and settings\" you'll probably find the missing files. To share a folder to network users, right-click the folder in Explorer and select the "Sharing" tab.
