If you know the name of a specific virus on your computer, you might be able to find a removal tool for that virus: http://www.kaspersky.com/removaltools http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/security_response/removaltools.jsp http://www.nod32.ch/en/download/tools.php I'd also run all of these more general virus removal tools: Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en McAfee AVERT Stinger http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ Trend Micro Sysclean http://www.trendmicro.com/download/dcs.asp -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. Does your computer already have virus protection software on it? If so, you can run the software without an Internet connection. You won't be able to update the software with the latest virus definitions, but you can run the program. I recommend running it in Safe mode for best results. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
