joining a domainI'M RUNNING A WINDOWS XP PRO MACHINE ON A NETWORK WITH A DOMAIN SERVER, BUT I
CAN NOT GET THE CLIENT TO JOIN THE DOMAIN BECAUSE THE NETWORK ID IS GRAY OUT. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. Use the button below that, marked "change". there will be a option button you
can select to use a domain (it will most likely be sitting on workgroup at this stage) in the box for the domain name, enter in the domain you wish to connect to. depending on your user rights you are logged on with, you may be prompted for a user on that domain with rights to connect to that domain. enter these details and select "ok". you will be required to reset your computer once the domain is joined.
