Briefcase is slowHi,
I use Briefcase to synchronize folders between two machines. I find that if the source machine is shutdown, the briefcase machine takes a few minutes to display the contents of the folder. Any idea why this is? Also, I thought I would try SyncToy, but it requires I install .NET Framework 1.1.4322. I already have version 2.0 installed!?! Do I really have to install the backlevel version also? -- Bob ..NET 2.0 is not backwards-compatible to .NET 1.1, so yes you need both.

Thank you for using newsgroup! I agree with our MVP Richard's opinion. .NET 2.0 is not backwards-compatible to .NET 1.1. Were you able to solve this problem? How? (I don't have "SyncToy"). Thanks!!! Show quoteHide quote "Bob" wrote: > Hi, > > I use Briefcase to synchronize folders between two machines.
