Problems with new computer added to the networkgiven the user of the laptop administrative privileges. The network authentication is controlled by a pdc on the network..which requires to logon with a user name and password. There are 2 file servers connected to the network and a printer is attached to one of the file servers. And I have desktop connected as well. The problem is when i logon using the xp-laptop I get a message saying not all network drives are connected. i have added the laptop's user account information into my desktop and vice-versa. My laptop user has administrative privileges..on the PDC as well.. I can access my desktop folder's shared drives from my laptop and my desktop has access to shared files on my laptop.. but i cannot access the file servers/printer or any other computer on the network..it asks for a username and password.. Please help me figure this out. I need access to all the drives on the network including the printer.. Thanks when using net view \\serverip, can you see all shared folder and printers? If not, what's the system error?
