Has anyone run into an annoying message from pc-cillin  indicating that
..........lsass is causing an overrun problem or that it is a virus. I have
the articles about fixing this problem yet it doesn't work, I am running sp2
with xp home.
I would appreciate any replies
Thanx
John

John,

The LSASS exploit has been used by numerous malware, Sasser being the best known
but not the only one.  The Symantec database, for instance, lists 173 references
to LSASS.

Can you locate the component in question?  If so, try submitting it to Jotti and
VirusTotal, thru their webpages, and see exactly what's up.  Don't try to
diagnose malware on your own, use the professional references.  Once you
identify the infection, you have a better chance of fighting it.
