Nintendo Wifi Dongle + Networking (with internet) PC to Xbox with Crossover CableI have three items that I want to network (with internet) together. My PC, DS and my Xbox. My setup is as follows. I have a Netopia wireless router which supplies my internet connection by means of a wireless card to the PC. My PC has a network card which by means of a crossover cable I have used to connect my Xbox to my PC. I also have a Nintendo DS Wifi USB dongle which I use to supply Internet to my DS. I have them all networked at the moment however I can't share my internet to my xbox. It can access my shares and files on my PC but it can't access the internet. ICS is set up for the Nintendo USB dongle however I can't seem to set it up for my Xbox unless I disconnect the dongle. Windows seems to only allow one network to share internet at a time. When I access the ICS settings under Wireless card supplying the internet I have to choose from the drop down menu between my DS having internet or my Xbox. Does anyone know how I can sort this out? Wireless Card: 192.168.1.8 Nintendo USB Wifi Dongle: 192.168.0.1 Network Card: 192.168.2.1 Xbox: 192.168.2.2 In article <1156687349.235741.179***@m73g2000cwd.googlegroups.com>,

If I understand this Nintendo web site, it can: http://www.nintendowifi.com/consumerservice/gettingStarted.do?entryId=home If the dongle isn't necessary, you only need to share the PC's Internet connection with the Xbox, using the wired network card. If the DS can only connect to the Internet through the Wi-Fi dongle, follow these steps to configure the PC to share the Internet connection over the wireless dongle and the network card at the same time. I recommend making a restore point with System Restore first to make it easy to recover from any possible problems: 1. Un-share the wireless Internet connection. 2. Configure the network card, Nintendo, and Xbox to obtain an IP address automatically. 3. Create a network bridge between the network card and the Nintendo USB Wi-Fi dongle. Details here: XP ICS - Network Bridge http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/networkbridge.htm 4. Share the wireless Internet connection. If it asks what to use for the home network, tell it to use the Network Bridge. 5. If that doesn't give Internet access to the DS and the Xbox, try the steps shown here: Bridge May Not Work With a Non-Promiscuous Mode Network Adapter http://support.microsoft.com/?id=302348 -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
