Limit BandwidthHi,
I use a netgear DG834GT as my ADSL Modem which is Connected to a 16 port switch. Is there any way that I can limit the speed/data rate that is allowed to pass through a single connection. i.e. instead of a user hogging the bandwidth by downloading music etc, he/she is only allocated a 256kbs connection whilst the other connections remain at full speed. Hope you get my train of thought here. Regards John John wrote:

I don't know if that would be granular enough for your needs, but check them out. -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. I did manage to find a program called Netlimiter which does the job, sort of, but I will look out for the QOS routers Regards John Show quoteHide quote "Chuck" <n***@example.net> wrote in message news:cd19f2tqr7hdnegekpnqn7oadg6u9d22c3@4ax.com... > On Mon, 28 Aug 2006 20:29:55 +0100, "John" <johnlee2***@btopenworld.com> > wrote: > >>Hi, >>I use a netgear DG834GT as my ADSL Modem which is Connected to a 16 port >>switch.
