here and hope to get some help. I have a win2k system in our subnet. It can get IP from our DHCP server and I can join it to our domain (Win server 2003). However, I just cannot set its Internet Connection through LAN. I can open Internet Connection Option and select LAN for Internet connection and either check or uncheck "Automatic discover proxy server". When I click "Finish", all the setting are gone and I cannot connect Internet. If I start Internet Connection wizard again, I found that all setting through LAN are gone -- everything shows up as "default", i.e. as "I want to sign up for a new internet account..." ... I can ping our LAN servers, but not systems outside of our subnet. The port is okay because I can connect other good systems to this port to go to Internet. Can somebody tell what's wrong with this win2000? Thanks! Harvey Do you have proxy server in the LAN? Can you ping a public IP? if yes, can you ping yahoo.com? This troubleshooting may help,
