I am having trouble connecting to a Windows 2000 domain. The workstation is a
XP Pro that has been upgraded from Windows Home. IP seems to be working as I
can get to the internet through the router. When I attempt to join the domain
I get the following message. "An unknown error occurred joining the domain
"domain name"    (incorrect Function)"  Also, the workstation cannot see the
other clients on the network. The workstation has Mcafee firewall, but it has
been disabled.

Do not disable non-Windows firewalls, uninstall them.  Most do not disable
properly.  Then see if you can join the domain, configure the computer, and
finally reinstall your firewall software.

Thank you! I uninstalled the Mcafee firewall and was able to join the domain
and browse the network.
