I have a .NET Runtime error which shows up in my event viewer log every day.
It didn't happen until I downloaded the optional Microsoft Windows Updates
which showed up when I ran the custom update choice on the Windows Updates
page.  The optional updates I downloaded and installed were .NET 1.1 and 2.0.
I think I remember reading someplace that this was a known problem, and
microsoft is working on a fix, but this was some time ago.  Anyone know if
anything is availabe now, or is being done to solve this error?

Not for your problem but an update to .NET 3.0 is available for download
from Microsoft.
