3 computers connected; 2 see all 3; one only sees itselfHi gang.
I am hard-wired through a 2wire DSL modem. I have internet connection established on all 3. I have been through setup dozens of times. Two computers see all three on the workgroup. They share files and printers just fine. The third (new) computer shows only itself when i go to the workgroup. I have double-checked (many times over) the workgroup name. When I use Compaq troubleshooting it suggests the name may already be in use. That's no correct. I have windows firewall turned on on all 3 systems. Any suggestions? thanks al Do you have another firewall, say in Norton internet security. You have to
run the network wizard in that for access to other computers and access to yours Show quoteHide quote "Al Can Help" wrote: > Hi gang. > I am hard-wired through a 2wire DSL modem. Bingo! New computer....I usually build my own.....had Norton installed. I had disabled the security system for the networking process and wasn't aware of the Norton firewall networking tool within the personal firewall. Thanks!
