Create shared files on a different drive (or partition)Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to create shared files on a different drive
(or partition labeled as a different drive). We have XPsp2 w/multiple users on same machine, just added new drives and when trying to create shared files I was told to drag things to THE shared documents file. Can I create another on a different drive? Really appreciate any help, thanx, A.Joe In article <65e4beeeb005e@uwe>, "Average Joe" <u26251@uwe> wrote: Windows XP creates the Shared Documents folder when you run the>Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to create shared files on a different drive >(or partition labeled as a different drive). There's nothing unique about it that folder -- it's simply a convenient place to put documents that you want to share. You can share other folders, too, on any drive. In My Computer, right-click the desired folder and click "Sharing and Security". -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
