can someone help?
Is it possilbe for a rougr dailer to dailer out using a broadband moden or
connection?

Lee,

If your dialup modem is not connected to the phone system, a rogue dialer cannot
dial out.  This is why I advise everybody to get rid of their internal dialup
modems, and get a router and external modem.  Connect the computer by Ethernet
only.

Even if the dialer can't get out, it can still waste CPU cycles.  Know what's on
your computer.
