PC's occasionally say on Internet Connection despite broadband Cable connectionIn home environment with a router connecting two PC's Windows XP Media
Center Edition and 6Mbps cable hookup I get occasional "no connection to the Internet" messages, "do I want to work off line or retry". What's up with this? Thanks. -- "J. J." Open a command prompt window and ping a web site like "google.com" or "yahoo.com". If the ping succeeds, your Internet connection is OK. In that case, don't click "Work Offline" or "Retry.
