Multiple domain choices when logging on From WinXPI have a PC in a domain, but I want to allow it to attach to another totally
unrelated domain in another company without having to unjoin and rejoin domains. I can get and domain admin in both companies to make my computer a member of their respective domain, but I don't want to have them do this every time I want to log on to a different domain. Others I know say they have seen Windows XP logon screens that allow multiple choices of various domains, but everything I have read says you can only have one domain choice. Being a member of a domain involves a two way trust relationship - your computer trusts the domain, and the domain trusts your computer. Generally, your computer will only trust one domain, at any time. There are software products which work around this limitation. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/have-laptop-will-travel.html#ComplexSolutions> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/have-laptop-will-travel.html#ComplexSolutions -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. My email is AT DOT actual address pchuck mvps org. The only way you can have multiple domains to choose from at login is if the
domains have external trusts between them. Otherwise, one computer, one domain. -- Show quoteHide quoteRichard G.
