Repeated signing inWhen I sign in...say on ebay for instance...i can look at one item then try
to look at another item and i have to sign in again...then if i go to another item and..say...try to save it...i have to sign in again...and so on...i am having to sign in sometimes in excess of 20 times a vist. I have set Cookies to low. Now what do i do? I am on BT Broadband with a 2 wire unit. If you can help please make as simple as possible as I am not an expert! Thanks. Is your system clock set correctly? Disagreements between the server
and the browser about what time it is can cause cookies to time out prematurely. By default, XP will synchronise the system clock with time.windows.com every week - this is usually frequently enough to avoid any significant error unless your MoBo battery is on its last legs. Right click on the clock on the taskbar, choose "Adjust Date/Time", then click on the "Internet Time" tab. The "Automatically synchronise...." box should be ticked and the text box should contain the name of a valid time server. To force an update, click the 'Update Now' button. Also in the "Adjust Date/Time" applet, on the "Time Zone" tab, make sure that your timezone is set correctly and that "Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving time changes" is ticked.
