attaching win 2000 pro to XP network?i have a home network with all computers running windows XP home - i want to
attach a windows 2000 pro computer to the same network - how can i do that please because the the netsetup software i've used on all the XP computers won't work on the 2000 pro computer - You don't need software, even with XP. It can all be happily done manually.

For most home networks, that means "obtain an IP address automatically", which is the default for both XP and 2000. It isn't strictly necessary, but specifying the same workgroup name on all of the computers makes network access a little easier.
