Printer sharing

HP PSC 1060 connected to Dell desktop on wired network through Netgear
router. Dell Inspiron wired to this network. Using "add new printer"
wizard, Inspiron can see desktop, but not printer attached to desktop.

Both computers have XP Home. Both can use internet.

Where can I find a step by step procedure to correct my problem?

Have you checked to be sure that the printer is shared on the desktop?

For instructions, click Start > Help and Support, and search for the
topic "Share Your Printer".

Printer sharing was selected on both printers. this did not make printer
visible to other Inspiron's add a printer wizard browser.
